About Us
Joe Roets
Title: Chief Architect, Founder, CEO at Dragonchain, Inc.
Quote: “I was born in America. I love this country. I can’t believe our government would suppress the free market innovation demonstrated by blockchain and cryptocurrency.”
Born and raised in Kansas City, Joe Roets is the main focus of our documentary because he represents the bridge between the American Dream and the technology necessary to finally make it a reality–not just a shallow cliché.
He has over 20 years of experience in software architecture focusing on security and scalability, and has created and led multiple technology startups since the mid 1990’s.
Joe is a trusted and established visionary thought leader who has worked with the FBI and Department of Defense, as well as large corporations Overstock, Symbiont and Disney.
In 2018, the SEC swooped in to place tight legal restrictions that had the potential to close down Dragonchain and many other companies developing blockchain and cryptocurrency projects–placing America behind the curve in these innovative technologies. In particular, China has since lept ahead in the technological race to dominate the internet of the future.
A family man and accomplished entrepreneur, Joe puts a human face on the story behind blockchain and cryptocurrency. His relentless pursuit of technology innovation, even in the face of legal obstacles, inspired us to share his story.
